Question
I have just got a notice from my work that my wages will be garnished by a co Hyat Hyat Landau and i have heard nothing from them or about this happening. I am a single mother of 2 and cannot afford 122.?? coming from my check when I bring home 350.00.. How do I fix this and make a smaller payment

The question(s) are how did it happen that you got a judgment against you and you didn't even get a summons? Or did you and just ignored it?
That is about the first question you should be asking and you need to go to the clerk of the court in your county and ask to see your public record. Then look for any judgments and get copies of all the paperwork in the file and then you can begin to unravel the story. Look at the summons and see when and where you were supposedly served.

Once you know that you can begin to do something about it. First of all the law firm you mention is about as crooked as a lawfirm can get.

You have only two ways to fight it off and only one that will stand a good chance of succeeding. Once you have the info from the clerk of the court you can begin to put together a viable way to fight.

So go get that and get back to me.
