QUESTION: i received a summons to court today for my American express credit card debt which was $6000, from 2005. what do i need to do now? is it possible to make a payment agreement at this point, since there is no chance i can pay the full amount at once?

i live in new york city. the summons does not specify any date on it. it just gives me an address which is court address i think. do i need to go to that address given and apply there?
