Question
I have a judgment for about $3000 against a lady who makes about $300 a week.  How much is the employer obligated to pay me after I have the Sheriff serve them with a writ?   Thanks

Answer
Dear Jim,

Thank you for your question.

Honestly probably nothing, the lady may be exempt from garnishment. Check with your state law for garnishment exemption.

If she is can be garnished, it may be up to 25% of gross wages.
what state do you reside in?

Good Luck
