Question Is a settlement of a $1650.00 default judgement for $900.00 a good deal or should I have negociated for less? The original debt was $1000.00 to a credit card company. The case was heard in New York.
Answer At this point I would advise that you take the settlement and run. I doubt you can do much better and I have heard of cases where people tried and we asked to pay the full amount.
