Collections Law/Account Verify

Question
I recently starting to receive phone calls from a Law Firm for a Judgment against me. I have no memory of the account in which they are referring to and asked that they send me paperwork proving the account. They quickly told me "No" and that because the judgement was 4 years old, they couldn't even get that kind of paperwork. I want to voluntarily take care of this matter if it is mine but the Law firm refuses to provide any information. How can I get the information on the account under judgement? Also, the judgement was filed in DE which has a limit of 3 years. Since I live in MD now, do they have to re-file in order to garnish my wages?

The only way to get the original paperwork from the judgment is from the county clerk in the county where the judgment was granted to them. I'd call them up and see how to go about it and how much it will cost to get copies of the judgment. All they have to do is hire an attorney in your county and get the judgment domesticated into MD. That isn't hard to do and you will end up paying the expenses of their doing that. Once it is domesticated into your county and state then they can garnish your wages. Best you get started to protecting yourself against their garnishments before that happens.

Education/Credentials
Paralegal courses for the most part.
I have been teaching people how to deal with judgments, mortgage foreclosures and other such problems both on and off the internet for many, many years. I am a Richard Cornforth information provider ever since 2000 and worked with many other organizations and causes since 1980. I was Oklahoma State Chairman for the nationwide drive to defeat the Constitutional Convention which was proposed by various factions within our federal government such as the Council of State Governments and the National Organization of State Governors who were working hard to organize a Constitutional Convention to be held in 1995 for the purpose of rewriting our American Constitution to be more acceptable to the United Nations. I worked with Senator Charles Duke of Colorado and Senator Don Rogers of California and many others across the nation to keep them from getting the number of delegate states required to lawfully hold a Con-Con and we were successful. I have worked with many other legislative issues in Oklahoma and have always been very successful.
