Question
I have a possible short sale in SC that might have the lender wanting to do a confession of judgement on the shortage amount.  I now live in Tenn.  Is a confession of judgement valid in Tenn.?

Answer
Jeff:

Yes, a confession of judgment is enforceable in Tennessee however, I would advise against it.  Essentially, you are confessing that you owe any deficiency and all the lender has to do is execute the confession before a court of competant juridiction.
