QUESTION: according to my credit report the last date of activity was,3-7-03,has the statue of limitations expired for a auto repo for the state of Tennessee? This date,10-20-09 . Thank you
Answer
Jerry:
Maybe, it would either be ten years under the statute of limitations for written contracts or four years under Article 9 of the U.C.C.. It all depends on how your attorney would present your defense and how the judge would interpret his or her argument.
