Question
I have just been charged by Nationwide Credit Inc 1000 dollars through electronic check withdrawal leaving by bank account in the negative. I am currently on the phone with a representative from Nationwide Credit, Inc. and they are acting like I made the authorization to make that payment... this is a big ordeal and I really do not want to have to close my bank account just to run away from these people. I would appreciate some advice. Thanks.

Answer
Sophia,

You have up to 30 days to go to your bank and have them undo the ACH. Let the bank know that you did not authorize the transfer.

Talk to your bank and see if they can block this collector from grabbing money out of your account. Otherwise you will have to close the account and open a new one.
