Question
I have a Repo since 2003. I am trying to fix my credit and went to a place to do that. Since they started i have gotten many phone calls about the debt on the car. I paid a little last year on it thinking it would help me but i was later told something else. What can this debt collector do if i do not pay.

Answer
Joshua,

Unfortunately when you paid a little to them you reset the statute of limitations. See statute of limitation for your state here:  http://www.henleycreditlaw.com/2009/12/statute-of-limitations-sol-on-debt-by-sta...

You also reset the statute of limitations for reporting too. If you had not made a payment then it would have fallen off this year and not been able to be on your credit report anymore.
