Question
me and my husband owe our community hospital around 7000 they turned us into collections 3 years ago and last year they all got turned into a lawyer we set up payment arragments and paid about 1000 my husban lost his job and recently went back to work and now almost a year and 6 months we got a knock on the door and served papers saying we had to be in the lawyers office in about a week with our tax forms car titles and property we own which we own no cars or houses due to his job loss there isnt a judges signature any where on the paper we were served i dont know what to do my husband is our only provider we cant affoer for wages to be garnished or a high monthly payment i would love any advice

Answer
The best thing to do is to go to the hearing, see what they have to say and be prepared to show your financial situation to them.  Most hospitals have a charity program set up to help.  It could be that you qualify for a partial if not full write off.  Good luck with this.
