Question
I have a perfected judgement in Knoxville TN. The person who owes me has a open personal injury lawsuit (not against me) in Knoxville TN also. What are the proper steps necessary for me to be paid first if he wins the lawsuit?
Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.

Kevlar:

You could file a Lis Pendens as a third party intervenor ("I think" inasmuch as this is a novel issue which would take a little research).  Moreover, you could simply ask for a debtors meeting a Notice him through the Knox County General Sessions or Circuit Court Division you obtaining judgment in.  Then, through discovery or oral examination, they must disclose where they bank, if they own a home, work, etc.  Thereafter, take said information and get a Writ of Execution and get your money now or after their civil action.

CommentThank you for the information. This debtor does not own anything in his name and current sucking money from the government (disabled - what a joke). I am concerned I will only collect if he wins his lawsuit. I really do appreciate your time and your service to the good people of Tennessee. Regards, Kevlar
