Collections Law/being sued by creditor

Question
In August of 2009 I hired a debt settlement company to help my family get out of extreme debt that was slowly burying us into losing our home. So far we have settled with one creditor out of 5. I recently was served a summons from Wells Fargo bank and I am being sued for the balance of $11,000 plus 10% plus attorney fees.
I have 30 calendar days to respond in writing to this suit. My response must be in proper legal form or I may lose the case by default.  I am very nervous since I cannot pay this debt entirely and certainly not attorney fees.  I do not know what form is the proper legal form to file and I do not know what to do. I am also very nervous that I made a huge mistake trusting this debt settlement company who took my money for the last 6 months. I am so far in and don't know which way to turn. Can you help me?

Answer
Johnny,

Unfortunately, I can not help write an answer without our law firm representing you. My best suggestion is to contact a local attorney via www.naca.net . I can only assist for Texas and California clients. You would need to call me at (214) 552-6647. Many attorneys give a free consultation and some will allow a payment plan. If you do not answer, Wells Fargo will take a default judgment against you.
