Question
My car was repossessed three years ago and now I have $6K deficiency balance.  I tried working with the company but they want me to pay the account in full and have sent the account to a new collection agency.  I can not afford to pay it so I pay a little something every month. My question:  Since I am making payments will the company be able to sue me? The last time I spoke with collections they said they would sue me if I did not pay the account in full. They also said I could not contact the original creditor. Please advise.

Answer
BeBe,

Yes they can file suit against you for non payment. Once an account is placed with a 3rd party company it's almost impossible for the consumer to contact the original creditor.  We have a program that specializes with this exact situation, in the event they do file suit you can use our network to file responses and motions.
