Question
On 1/4/10, I had to have a CT scan. I paid $100.00 up front. For the next 2 monthes I called the hospital numerous times, requsting a bill.  Was told that I would be mailed a bill, which I never received. In April I had a collection agency contact me on my job, I requested that they call my cell phone, not my business. I have been making payment of $20 a month on this bill since 4/28/10. I got call today, they informed me that it has been turned to a attorney, to take me to court and garnish my wages.  I make $8.75 an hr. work 30 hrs. a week, I'm the famlies sole rovider.  What can I do, I've tried talking to them, and explaining I can't afford anymore at this time, unless my family does without food. The total is 12,157.00

I can help you but first of all you have to learn to stop making big mistakes like paying debt collectors. You will also have to do quite a bit of learning about how to defend your rights and how to defend yourself in court without having to hire lawyers and you need to get started right now so you can hit the ground running as soon as the lawyer first contacts you. I can teach you all those things and more. At the same time, if you are only working part time then I strongly suggest you do something to get your income up.

CommentThe suggestion the volunteer gave me was to find a full time job. In this economy, if that were possible, I would have done so. And I would like for the volunteer to understand, I am not paying the debt collector, I am paying the hospital.

Education/Credentials
Paralegal courses for the most part.
I have been teaching people how to deal with judgments, mortgage foreclosures and other such problems both on and off the internet for many, many years. I am a Richard Cornforth information provider ever since 2000 and worked with many other organizations and causes since 1980. I was Oklahoma State Chairman for the nationwide drive to defeat the Constitutional Convention which was proposed by various factions within our federal government such as the Council of State Governments and the National Organization of State Governors who were working hard to organize a Constitutional Convention to be held in 1995 for the purpose of rewriting our American Constitution to be more acceptable to the United Nations. I worked with Senator Charles Duke of Colorado and Senator Don Rogers of California and many others across the nation to keep them from getting the number of delegate states required to lawfully hold a Con-Con and we were successful. I have worked with many other legislative issues in Oklahoma and have always been very successful.
