Question
I was sued by a small loan company and already went to court.  The judgement was for the plaintiff.  The judge never sent me anything for payment arrangements and the loan company hasn't either.  Do I still have to pay it even if i don't have the money?

Answer
Gilbert,

It is hard to pay the debt if you do not have the money.

Since the company won the lawsuit their is a judgment. Depending on the state that you live in, a judgment can be enforced for a certain number of years. Here is a link to another website that has the time frames:

Also, depending on the state the judgment holder may have different remedies such as wage garnishment or seizing money in bank accounts. Again, I am not sure what state you are in.
