Collections Law/Medical bill in collections legal dept.

Question
Due to circumstances that I won’t go into right now, I found out last week that a bill was going into the legal this week (and did). I have not been in this position before. I was told unless I paid the whole bill (which I can't get even close or even past a fourth of the bill) it is going though the legal system.  I don't know what to expect or what would be possible to do. Does it mean that my wages will be garnished? Any help will be much appreciated.

Answer
Dear Thomas,

Thank you for your question.

How do you know the account went into "Legal"?  Chances are a debt collector told a buddy next to him to say he is the legal department, (which is against the law).  It's a long way off until your wages are garnished if that happens at all. If you need help dealing with debt collectors we will and can help you.  Just visit OntrackFinancialGroup.com if your interested in our service please visit the get started page.
