Question
Is there a Georgia law limiting the time that you can acquire a refund of overpayment from a hospital ? They were paid Cash by me and also paid by my insurance company, but refuse a complete refund. I'm only due approx. $350. Should I pursue small claims court?
I am not sure about a time frame in this situation. I think it is 6 years however, if I were you I would write a letter to the administrator of the hospital. In this letter I would inform him that unless you receive your refund within 10 days you will report this matter to the BBB, the Attorney General and Consumer Affairs. After the dust settles from this and they have still not paid, small claims court may be your next best step. I hope you find this helpful.
