Thank you for taking the time to write to me on the repossession of your car in Kentucky.
Here is the problem.
When you buy a car there is a six feet stack of papers that you are required to sign. One of them is the official note that states that you will pay a payment on a certain day of the month and if you do not pay, they can assess a late payment fee.
Now, I have seen some sub prime contracts that state that "should the lender feel insecure" then they can repo the car.
Well, the bottom line is that they can do it at anytime. Lenders that I use, such as Lexus Financial and Mercedes Credit do not screw with their customers. They value customer service and support.
Lexus is one of the best cars that you can buy, and that is why I own 2 of them. If there ever is a problem, they will work with you. Lexus is part of Toyota Financial, and companies like that will be here long after the fly by night sub prime auto lenders are gone.
Sorry hon, yes, they can take your car. But 99 percent of the financing companies will let you do a workout, you just have to ask.
