Question My name is Jay Wortham. My mom had a similar situation to one the clients listed on your survey of information. My mother is 67 years old and takes several different kinds of expensive medication. A creditor has placed a bank levy on her account and my own account since I had her name on it. My mom can't even afford vital medication and food now because of these levies. I could still afford to help her but I fear they will start chasing after me as well. To give you more of the story the judgement occured as of 2004 according to law firm in Dallas, TX. The original loan was meant for me and at thew time of purchase, the car loan salesperson convinced my mom to be the buyer and me co buyer so that we could get a lower interest rate. Needless to say the car got repoed. Can they go after my bank account if I open another without my mom's name on it. This way we can still live and I can afford to get anything she needs, but when they take everything we have it is impossible for us to live.
