Question Hi, I have been recently trying to clean up my credit. So far I must say that I have been successful. Within my college years I have obtained 3 credit cards. I have completely paid one off and I only owe another 1 more month. The past credit card had past a judgement, but I must admit that they were very understanding and helped me budget so I can pay them. Now, the problem is my last creditor that I owe, who has not passed judgement on me as of yet. They are threatening to pass judgement me, but I am trying to pay them. The problem is they refuse to allow me to budget so I can begin to pay them monthly. My first encounter with this creditor I was forced to borrow money from friends and family so they wouldn't pass the judgement upon me as they are threatening to do. Two weeks later I had to pay back the money I borrowed, 2 weeks after that I owed the creditor, my rent, and other bills that are more important. Now I don't have the money to pay them and they are threatening me all over again. If they had given me a month to add them into my budget all of this could have been avoided. Therefore, my question is:
Is there a way I can stop this cedit collector from passing judgement upon me(due to the fact that I need is a month to catch up)?
I know what its like for a judgement to be passed on you and I know its frustrating when they freeze your accounts, etc. Therefore if there is a way to temporarily alt this judgement it will ease my mind completely.
Also, this credit office calls all over my apartment building trying to locate me when they have both my phone numbers. Once they see that I am unavailable at that moment they call the other residence of the building looking for me. How can I stop them from annoying my neighbors?
*Note* the credit collector that has been calling me is from a law office I don't know if that makes a difference or not.

Ok, here is the bottom line on this matter. You have gone above and beyond in my estimation in attempting to resolve the 2 accounts that you have paid down.
It seems to me that you have run into an out of control collector, (you can tell them that I said that)
Collectors like this are what gives the industry a bad name, so here is how we are going to deal with this company.
First of all, I want you to sent a certified letter to the collector that is harassing you. In that letter I want you to state that you are demanding that they CEASE AND DESIST in contacting you. In that letter, Enclose a 25.00 money order and tell them that you will be paying 25.00 per month. Pay the bill monthly and KEEP COPIES OF THE RECEIPTS. If they give you any static, or keep calling after you send the letter and get the green card back in the mail proving that they received the letter, let me know and I will show you how to make 10K on this deal.
You might want to also send them a copy of this letter and an email with a link to this reply with my profile. They can deal with me if they want to play, and that will not be pretty.
