Question
My employer just got a wage garnishment/levy notice from the IRS for me today.  He's basically planning on firing me because he doesn't want to deal with all this, nor would I work for $750 a month.  If I start my own business what do I need to do to protect myself from levy's and garnishments.

Answer
It is very difficult to avoid IRS levies. Normally by incorporating or LLC you can avoid attachments on personal earnings but IRS can pierce that vail. Your best option is to negotiate a payment plan or hire a tax attorney or CPA to negotiate for you. They tend to have relationships with the IRS that is most valuable. We have a CPA in our alliance that may be able to assist in negotiating for you.  For more information call 877 270 8204.
