Question
I am on SSI disability and own a seasonal trailer which I paid $20,000 for a couple of years ago.  I have a outstanding credit card debt of $12,000 which I can't pay.  The credit card company is going to turn the debt over to a collection agency and they are threaten to attach my trailer.  Can they do it?

Answer
Don't be afraid of them. There are limits to what they can do. I will need to know what state you are in before I can give you any real help.

Potentially they can attach a lien on your trailer but they have to file suit and get a judgement then file a judgement lien. There may be an exemption you may file to avoid that but I would need to do some research. If you need further help call 877 270 8204.
