Question
Hey Thom I'm wondering what all i have to do to be able to try out for College Football I only played one year in High School i wasen't able to play my senior year, I was the kicker for Hartford High in south west Michigan. I whant to play for WMU but i dont know what to do to be able to tryout.

Answer
Daniel, hello!

Contact the athletic department at WMU and they will advise when you can speak to a scout or coach, and what their schedules for camps and tryouts are.

If you want to kick, get some video and mail to them, even using Youtube.  If you have the leg and are mentally tough, they will break your door down to get your foot into the game.

Enlist your former Coaches and players to give you letters of commendation.  Contact Michigan's high school association and your local high school football association.  The officials can be a tremendous asset to get your goal accomplished.  Your local TV and radio outlets can help.  The YMCA has information.   You can find the information by talking to current players.

Be disciplined and go after that dream!!

May you enjoy a great future!
