Question
Hello, I am very interested in knowing when Coach Paterno will be holding spring walk-on tryouts.I am 6'1-220lbs and I will be transferring to main campus for the next sememster.Thank-you,in-advance, for any information you could supply for me.

Answer
Adam, hello!

First thing, If you can make the Penn State squad, you have a memory for Lifetime.  What a thrill it will be to play for Coach Pa.  I'm a Bobby Bowden and FSU fan, but will be happy if Bowden or Paterno finish up with most wins Lifetime.  I've loved both coaches for decades.

If you contact their Athletic Department, they can give you dates and times for tryouts.  The local university newspaper staff can also help, along with the public newspapers, radio and TV stations.  Your former high school coaches should be getting that information to you, as well.

The tradition of Nittany Lion football has been around in my life since I started following football in the 1950's.  I hope you excel with them and end up as one of those legendary Penn State players!!!  It's my honor to follow your career.

Take care!

If you have time, listen to my youngest son's music at:

The band's promoter has construction interests in Savannah and Pittsburgh, and my son may be living in both cities.  He will likely follow the trails of being a Georgia Bulldog and pulling for the Penn State, since his boss is an avid
Lion fan.
