Question
hey I was told some schools like BC usually only give their players two
weeks a year as vacation. Is this true? How often do D1 players get
time off do they still have thanksgiving, winter, spring, and summer
breaks like other college kids?

Answer
Dave, hello and Happy New Year!

Boston College is a strict school but I'm certain their standards are not that tough except maybe the first year or so.  If you're under scholarships, they would require more of the student/athlete than the walkon with no scholarship.

I coach a men's baseball team, over age 25.  One of our players is big on BC so I'll ask him what the standards require.

Take care,
