Question
I just graduated from college and ended up choosing my education at a better university than playing football at a smaller school.  While I'm extremely satisfied with my choice, I can't seem to stop dreaming about playing football.   I had some offers for DII and DIII schools out of high school, but I don't know how I would even begin to get back on track or if I'm even still allowed to play competitive football.  I'd really like another chance to live my dream, can you offer me any advice?

Answer
Brett, hello and Happy New Year!

Brett, contact the schools you want to play for.  They will advise the type of course/enrollment you'd be required to attend in order to play on their team.  Congratulations on attaining a degree.  That took special attention, time and effort.  With that same kind of mindset, you will be successful joining a football squad.

Their Athletic departments will advise the dates of tryouts, student requirements, etc.  You can also contact your local high school, city and county recreational departments, your state's high school association, and the local high school football official association.  They have a wealth of tips to offer.

Take care, Brett.
