Question
Hello, thanks for taking the time to read my question. Which is I played Football for 2 years in high school and because of some bad decisions I wasn't eligible for my junior and senior years. I have been working out and training for the upcoming season. By the way I'm currently a senior. I'm about 5'10 and weigh about 165lbs. I run a 4.5 40 and am benching about 160lbs. Which I'm working on. I was just wondering what else I should do in order to get prepared for the upcoming season. Thanks for your time and response.

Answer
Zack, hello!

Your speed is good so continue to run the sprints.  You are at the age where if you work out properly, you will increase weight over the next few years.  If you are a durable player, you will need to improve your game in order to keep up with adding weight, muscle and speed.

Stay away from enhancement drugs and keep busy on the weights and running programs.  The colleges will give you tips on their program to get ready for whichever positon you seek.

Take care,

Thom Brooks
