Question
In the 70's (I think) the NFL began to display the play clock on the field so that all would know how much time left to snap the ball. It was a gret success and the following year the NCAA chose to follow suit. What year was that when the NCAA first used the display on the football field?

Answer
John, hello!

I do not know but have attached some websites for you to explore.

It seems to me it started in 1978-80.  If I can find the answer, I shall write back!!

Take care,

Thom Brooks
