College Football/Walk on kicker
Expert: Thom Brooks - 11/12/2008
QuestionI just started playing football this year and found out i have a talent in kicking. I never had much chance to kick long field goals in game but i have little problem up the the 30 yard line. I made all extra points in the games i played (18/18). I've made 45 and 50 yard field goals in practice and even have made a 55. I need to work on my consistency but if i kept practicing what are my chances in college? Possible UNC or Boulder. What do they look for in kickers and how can I get better.
AnswerDavid, hello!
Some college would love to give you a tryout. You need to make contact with any school where you have an interest and they will advise their dates, schedules for tryouts and if they need kickers.
I have attached many sites for you to make contact.
Take care,
