I have a questions about the waiver and I would greatly appreciate your answer.  My daughter got hurt in a pre-season pratice at the college and hurt her back.  She was out 3 1/2 wks and came back and has recurring problems with it and cannot really play without taking pain medication. She has played in 3 games and has 33 games.  Can she get a waiver since she was hurt in pre-season non-offical practice?  She is under a doctor's care now.  Who  completes the medical hardship waiver, the school or her doctor?  Thank you so much for your answer.  q37

I no longer answer eligibility question.  However you need to make sure your daughter's doctor writes a good narrative report as an attachment to the NCAA Waiver/hardship forms.  You also should make sure that the school's compliance officer or the athletic department fills out the proper forms and that the Doctor's certificate if disability/hardship is properly and timely filled out.
