College Football/40 times
Expert: Thom Brooks - 12/8/2008
QuestionQUESTION: is it possible to bring your 40 time down a whole sec with only a few months. my forty is 5.7 and i want to impress the scouts for the next combine
ANSWER: Chad, hello!
Disciplined training will improve your strength and times. I would strongly urge you to stay away from any kind of enhancement drugs that will hurt your health later in life. If you continue to run Sprints after Sprints, your time will be maximized. I don't know if you can improve my one full second but you should improve in strength and experience. Knowing the game can compensate for lack of speed, so work on the mental advantages, too!
Have an incredible Merry Christmas!

QUESTION: so what kind of sprints like 100 yards or 50 yards and how many rep
AnswerChad, you need to discuss the number of Reps and 40 yard sprints with your coach/trainer/advisors. They know about their team's scheme and your ability/size/stamina and position. If you are running as many sprints as your body tells you is comfortable will be your optimum capaicty. You can injure yourself without proper procedure on weights and running so get the advice from those that know you best.
Take care,
