Question
My name is Jimmy Brown and ive just completed my senior season in high school football. I am supposed to be a junior but have excelled academically so i was able to be skipped a grade. I am a 2 year starter at linebacker, center, and long snapper. I play on all special teams, and have a very strong passion for the game. Our team( elmont spartans) this year won the nassau county championship
( long island, N.y). I am about 5'9 190 4.9 40 time, bench 225x4 reps, squat 225x 10 reps, and am 16 years old. I am trying to play college football feeling i possess the skills, and experience to play high division 2 or d1-aa. I am looking for a vigorous offseason training program that will allow me to elevate my game to the next level, and be a successful college football player. I hope to play football for stony brook university. I am 5'9 and 190 pounds so i am hoping to be able to transfer to the safety/strong safety position at the college level. I know that if i put in the time and effort, i can achieve my goal of a 4.6/ 4.5 40 yard dash by the time the summer comes around. If you have any training tips/ suggestions, i am welcome to all. I am also looking to increase my strength, while shedding down my weight to around 178. Thanks in advanced. Jimmy

Answer
Jimmy, hello!

Get with the coaches at your college of choice.  They will give you their training program.  You need to keep the same discipline you've been using.  You need to work on Sprints, good diet, staying away from bad drugs and learn the Rules of College Football.  If you have any disadvantages, write them on a piece of paper and actually write out the Pros and Cons.  Make yourself aware of strengths and weaknesses and then go about changing them.

You are going to have an incredible memory, so keep working hard!
