Question
(Alex Arain-wr 65 188)   I am a current student at kempsville high school. This is my last year and i want to know if i can still come out for the team. I missed the first tryouts. I have been playing organized football since i was ten. I feel as if i get a shot then i will bring great challenge for current athletes on the first ODU football team. I just want to know if it is to late and if ODU will give me a shot?

Answer
Alex, hello!

You need to have your coaches contact the ODU staff.  They will advise if they have 300 to tryout or if they still need to look at players.  You certainly need to follow up with phone calls or emails this week.  It would be special if you made the first team for ODU but if not, you have plenty of time to make the roster for next season!  You will likely fill out and gain more skill so your height and weight look great.  If you can hang on to the ball when you're taken down, ODU will be proud to have you help them move the chains.

You need to enlist the help of any ODU players.  If you know the QB's, you need to talk to them.  Maybe a workout with the QB will be historic.  If they like your patterns and hands, they will find a way to get you on the team.

Take care and play great!
