Question
Hello Mr. Brooks I just got short question. I am 23 years old 5'11, 200 pounds playing SS and FS for a Semi-pro team in Germany. I was All State (Bavaria/Germany) and played one year of HS varsity football (as CB) in Indiana. My question is: Are there any chances for me to get into a College Program (D-1), or (Semi-)Pro Program??
Thanks in advance
Tom

Answer
Tom, hello!

With your experience, you certainly have a better than average chance of making a roster stateside.  The NCAA rules may conflict and keep you out of college ball if you have been titled as a professional football player, so you need to contact them first.

You can join a semi-pro team without a hitch.  Contact the semi-pro leagues in the state you intend to move to. Once you locate the team's website, you can discuss your eligibility with them.

Take care,

Thom Brooks
