Question
Hi, I am 22 years old and have never played organized football.  I'm 5'11 225 lbs and and bench 225 around 20 times. I ran a 4.9 forty about 2 years ago (I started with one foot as far back as possible thinking i would get the best start. Never trained my legs for speed and had horrible form. I believe i can get it down to around a 4.4 because i am pretty fast. I really want to play RB and am currently trying to increase my strength speed and explosiveness.   Also, i am pretty smart. I scored a 24 on my ACT and had a 1.3 GPA in high school and that was becuz i didnt try and did no homework. What are my chances of playing college ball? and what division do u think play me?

Answer
John, hello!

You need to talk with the counselor of the college you chose to pursue your degree in.  They will advise the minimum grades you need to maintain in order to play at the NCAA level.

Without experience, you would be on the bottom of their recruiting list, but that's not to say you could not make the team.  You will really need to make up your lack of experience by having better skill, ability and Leadership than the other guys.

Take care,
