Question
My name is Myron and I'm an offensive tackle from Darlington SC. I graduated in 2006 and went to Newberry College. I was red-shirted there. I wanted to transfer, but they would not release me. I ended up sitting out for a year. Now i'm about to enroll in a junior college and I wanted to know how many years am I still eligible to play college football at a Division 1 school?

Answer
Myron, hello!

You need to verify with the NCAA rules.  Your JUCO will do that for you but if you have a medical red shirt, you should have 4 years of eligibility remaining.  If you played, you would have to request a waiver for that year.

Take care and play great!!  I lived in Cheraw in 1965 and love your area.
