Question
I am a freshmen right now at my school. I played my first year here at Division 3 school. I want to play at a D1AA. I was originally suppose to go to one but my grades weren't good enough. I was wondering with a 5'9 215 frame for a SS, what do you suggest I do that I could make it as a walk on to one of these teams.

Answer
Michael, hello!  You are an athlete.  While your height may be a disadvantage for the Div-I schools, you should have your choice of many of the Div-IAA colleges.  Georgia Southern in Statesboro, Georgia are always looking for impact players and had a few SS make it to the Jacksonville Jaguars that were not far off your size.  So, if you can make the plays, and if your vertical jump is good, you should draw an interest.  If you decide to join a team anywhere, please let me know so I can follow your career.

Do great and Finish the Drill !
