College Football/Walk on college football with no experience

Question
I was wondering what the possibility of someone is to walk on to a college football team that has no experience. I've always wanted to play but I never tried out in high school because I always thought I was too small. But since then I've grown a lot. I'm 24 years old,  6'1" and I weight 195 right now. I can easily work out and get up to 225 (my max weight so far) when I exercise often and try to gain weight. My speed is decent I'm around a 4.7 40. I've always wanted to play football and gain the experience and one day try and coach. I wouldn't care what position I would play or at what level(D or lower).  If anyone has any insight on this matter I would appreciate it.

Answer
Ronnie, hello!

If you have the skills and the desire, then you will be able to play.  You need to contact the college of choice and they will advise you of the dates and minimum requirements.

You would be competing against men that are experienced and hungry, so your chances would not be as good as theirs.  However, if you can learn quickly the positions you seek to play and get into any camps or workouts to start building your endurance, then you have a chance!
