Question
If a player has already recieved a med. hardship and has also played 2 years, if he transfers to another d-1 school and sits out his 1 year will he still be eligiable for 2 more years or only 1 because of the 5 year rule.

Answer
Choppy, hello!

The NCAA people will make the official ruling but based on what you've said, you would have two more years of eligibility.  I've known of 6th year players with Medical Redshirts but the NCAA has to approve all of it!
