Question
IS it possible to transfer from a D3 football school to a Division 1 football school. Granted i get looked at and have a stellar season and what not if i went to a D1 school is their any way i can not sit out a year and play right away. Is it possible or not possible. I was thinking about doing that if i had a good season this year and i was good enough that i could transfer to a D1 school but my fear is that i would have to sit for a year notb ased off my talent but because of NCAA rules. I know their are some exceptions and what not so i was wondering if you could explain. What are the requirements? What would i need to do to get their?

Answer
James, hello!

You would likely have to sit out for one year.  If you were dropping to a lower division you do not have to sit.

If you talk to the college of your choice, they will verify the exact NCAA rules.  I wish you the very best of fortunes !!
