Question
Hey, i am a going to be a sophomore next yr and i play wide receiver. And my problem is that i can play wide-receiver i know routes,my coach told me that i have great agility i just lack the speed. And i was thinking that i shouldn't play next yr so by jr yr i can run a 4.6 or 4.7 my current 40 time is a 5.2/5.3,and i was wondering do you have any advice to get that 40 time by jr yr??

Answer
Allen,

You need to continue to practice sprints, sprints, sprints.  At your age, your times will improve but you need to keep on a training program.  Your Coaches need to advise what your school recommends.

You need to play.  Do not sit out a year.  You can improve dramatically by being around the team.  Your time will come.
