QuestionOk first of all back in high school i was a 2 year all league tight end and nominated all state my senior year in the state of washington. i graduated in 2002. i've been in the army for almost 5 years now. How do i go about getting my archived stats from high school i've tryed quite a few ways and have only been able to pull up one article for a google search posted in the olympian in 2001. i'm currently 6 2 1/2 and 250. how do i go about providing the right resume i guess is the right word so that the coach would take me serious. and how would i go about doing such my old coach is long gone and i don't know if i have someone that can varify that i've played at a high level. I'll walk on still but i would like to get a shot at actually playing. skill doesn't always have enough say in sports. Hopefully i'll be playing at OSU, Oregon State in 2009 i just would like to know what would be the right steps to take and prepare for that. thank you. Michael Davis
AnswerMichael, hello!
Thanks for everyday you've worn the uniform!
You can contact the school board in the city you atttended school. They would need to forward your request to their school that has the archive showing that you played. Your state's high school sports association will also have the records.
You can contact the newspaper, radio and TV people that were in your area. They can find you in their past records. Your high school yearbook and fellow students would also have memories, records, tapes or clippings of your accomplishments.
Contact the athletic department at OSU and they will advise how they can help access your transcripts.
Have an incredible time playing football!
