College Football/walk-on

Question
I am a 26 year old teacher.  I have a bachelors degree from Howard University, but I didn't play any sports in college.  If I wanted to walk-on to a college football team before next year(2009-2010) when my teaching contract is up, would I still have elligability as a prospective graduate student?

Answer
Calvin, hello!  You should contact the college of your choice.  They will contact the NCAA to see if you are eligible.  Without the experience, the other men that are competing for your position will be advanced over you.  However, you can search for the college that would give you the tryouts and still be able to enjoy some happy years as a player.  You are not too old.  Division II or Division III schools would certainly give you a look!
