Question
I am 22 years old, I played two years of junior college football and graduated with my Associate's degree. Before playing at there I attended a junior college without a football team and enrolled in fulltime classes for two years. So, what would be my best options for football. Division 1, D2, or NAIA?

Answer
Shamari, hello!

You still have eligibility left but I do not know your skill positions  nor availability to the schools.  With that said, I would tell you to contact the school of choice.  They will tell you of their dates for tryouts and when the NCAA will allow the scouts or coaches to meet with you.  You already know if you're football ability will allow you to compete, but at what level?  If you were an average player in JUCO, you can very likely make the next two levels of play.  Division I players are heavily skilled and many men compete for those slots, so you'd have to be a standout to make the teams.

Your age can be a huge advantage for you, rather than holding you back.  If you have the maturity and Leadership, you can be a Team Leader for the younger men.  That's where the Coaches would look at you for helping the team.  If you are a great player, with football savvy and Leadership, then you can play at the Divsion I level, too!

Contact some of these sites to get you directed to the schools!

Have a great day, and God Bless America!
