Hi, I'm a 6'1 1/2, 190 lb WR/DB preferably WR...From Florida, and due to personal issues/grades had to get my GED and could only play 1 year of highschool football. Now I would like to play for a JC, but I'm not sure how to go about doing so...if you know how I am supposed to do this, any info would be nice. lol Like who do I contact first the school or the coach? What schools will take me? Do I have to catch up on any classes before I can play?

The first thing you need to do is contact the Jr. College's admission office and apply.  As soon as you do that you need to contact the football coach and ask to walk on.  It is too late for this year as the season has already started.  But there should be no problem if you are honest with the coach and explain your desire.  You may also want to contact the coach now or in the spring the spring and discuss your desire and ask for a work out program to follow.  Yes, you will have to academically qualify to be admitted to the school and to be eligible to play.  The school's admissions office can work with you on this.  They will need to look at your school records, etc.  As for what schools will take you depends on the schools and your "personal issues and grades" and age.  you do have a GED so this is a good start.
