College Football/bad start?
Expert: Thom Brooks - 9/18/2008
QuestionQUESTION: ok... i played a little football in high school.OT, but that was when i was much heavier.... i'm not 245ld and bout 6'7. i graduated in 07. i need to know if there is still a chance for me to play at the next level and if you might have any advice in how to do so.
ANSWER: Steve, hello!
You would be welcome at many camps unless you do not have the skills to compete. You size is impressive but you have to be impressive with those Coaches! If they like your football skill, savvy, Leadership and endurance, then many colleges would love to see you commanding a place on that line. If you can block and if you're not too slow, then you may be able to punch your ticket for the majority of teams. They can bring your experience level up to even par quickly.
Choose the degree you seek. Be certain they have the football program you'd enjoy playing in. Contact the Athletic Department and they will give you the exact advice needed.
Take care,

AnswerSteve, hello!
Your age is not a factor. The Coaches will look at your skill and Leadership! Go to the sites below and start searching for the JUCO and other Division levels where you would like to attend. Contact them for the dates and get your big self on a team. Let me know when you make the squad so I can follow your stellar Career!!
