Question
If a ball is punted and blocked. the ball goes backwards can the punter pick up the ball and repunt it?

Answer
Blake, hello!

In high school rule 5.1.3.  C ,

The second kick would be valid.  It would be illegal if the ball had gone beyond the line of scrimmage (and he attempted the illegal kick.  The penalty would have been a 15 yard penalty for Illegal Kick.

It is still a live ball.  The punter could pick the ball up and throw a legal pass.

Have a great day!
