Question
I am a recent college graduate (B.A. Psychology) who worked my way through school. I have coached football at rec council level in the inner city and am now a volunteer coach at a suburban high school I want to get a full-time coaching job at the college level. how do you break into full-time coaching? Seems like everyone is related to someone.  Thanks.

Answer
Harry, hello!

You will fare better if you have a connection to get you introduced.

If you're a good Coach, your former players and their parents likely have connections with their old coaches and schools.  They can get you started.

If your college did not have a football program, you still have contacts from that school that know others.  They can get you introduced.  You can also send an email request to every Athletic Department that you would consider working in.

Wish you the very best!
