Expert: Thom Brooks - 9/1/2008

Question
I used to play high school football and I have been giving serious thought to going to play college level ball.
I was wondering what position you think I may try for b/c I used to play o lone and D line in hs but I am 5'8 and 200 ibs and do not think that is an option.
I will get myself back into shape before I go try out but when I was in hs I ran a 4.91 and I was able to bench 245 ibs so please any feedback would be appreciated thank you so much

Daniel, hello!

You have a golden opportunity and should work hard to see the dream through.  Any college you try out for will be listing you on the depth chart at the bottom of the list underneath those who have more playing time, or more recent experience.  Now knowing your age, I would say your chances are good to get to a tryout.  Your skills, Leadership and motivation will determine if you can quality to wear that uniform!

Contact the schools of choice immediately and they will get you started!
