In a previous article you said that is impossible for a team to score just one point. Your answer was only in the case of a forfeit. I believe this is inaccurate as ANY safety on an extra point attempt results in a 1 point safety. Therefore, if Team A scored a touch down and then on the extra point attempt, ended up recovering the ball in their own endzone (Team B got stripped attempting to return a blocked or intercepted extra point attempt) this is a 1 point safety in favor of Team B. It is possible to have a 6-1 game of college football. This situation is relatively implausible but the rules allow it.

You are CORRECT! One point may be scored on a safety during a Try - That is the situation where there is a 1 point safety.
I am not sure of the question you are addressing and its context. But I stand corrected if I mis-spoke out of context.
Under NCAA Rule 8-1-1 the point value of scoring plays shall be:
Touchdown — 6 Points
Field Goal — 3 Points
Safety (points awarded to opponent) — 2 Points
Successful Try: Touchdown — 2 Points
Successful Try: Field Goal or Safety — 1 Point
The score of a forfeited game, or a suspended game that later
results in a forfeiture, shall be: Offended Team—1, Opponent—0. If the offended team is ahead at the time of forfeit, the score stands.
